Save the Children – Designing Save the Children’s DRR Strategy and implementing a pilot project based on the Strategy. These roles involved, setting the DRR agenda for SC Denmark in Bangladesh, conducting workshops, building Youth and PNGO capacity in the field, conducting HCVA/CRA and adapting key DRR international strategies and approaches such as HAP and the HFA.

The Pilot Project aims to increase the DRR and CCA capacity of Youth and Partner NGos through the adaptation and development of resources with Save the Children International resources and by training Youth and partners in the field to identify new entry points for DRR. The tookits developed will influence SC’s approach both national and international.

One of the key focal areas will be urban areas of Dhaka which are at risk of earthquakes, water logging and urban slum fires and are home to some of the most vulnerable populations in the country.
